My top tips of dealing with stress and anxiety

1) EXERCISE

I know a lot of people say that exercise helps but I truly believe that it does! Even if its ten minutes of running or yoga or ANYTHING - not only will it help you take your mind off things for a while, it's a great way of coping in a healthy way. Setting small exercise goals and challenges will help you gain confidence too!

2) A RELAXING BATH

Grab your favourite bath products, tip loads of bubble bath in and just relax! One of the things which is easiest to do when you're feeling down, anxious and stressed is to ignore showering and cleaning but run yourself a hot bath, give your hair a good wash and you'll feel much better - never underestimate the power of a bubble bath!

3) LISTEN TO A GOOD PLAYLIST

Make a playlist of all your favourite feel-good songs (NO SAD ONES ALLOWED!) Sometimes listening to your favourite songs makes you feel more positive and fills you with all that good energy!

4) PAMPER YOURSELF

Grab your favourite products, do your nails, fake tan, do whatever it takes to make yourself feel good - even if its just moisturising or applying some hand cream. I always feel much better when I have a good pamper session and just focus on myself and feeling good. Doing this will also help take your mind off things for a bit!

4) DO SOMETHING YOU ENJOY!

Many people have many different hobbies - one of my favourite things to do is absorb myself in a good book! Personally I would avoid things like the internet and video games because sometimes (not always!) these can be the things which pull you into a bit of a slump, try and focus on other things like reading, sports, cooking or baking, things which are a bit more pro active!

6) CALL YOUR FRIENDS!

Honestly, friends are incredibly important! Grab your phone and call or text your friends asking if they want to hang out or even just want to chat on the phone for a bit! Talking to people is so incredibly important and even just telling someone your problems briefly will make you feel like a weight has lifted off your shoulders. Also, being around people who make you laugh and feel happiness is always important when your feeling down.

Mental health is a really important thing and something which is often undervalued in daily life - Everyone is so important so make sure you take the time to look after yourself  xxx
